Famous for Airlie Beach Race Week, the Sail Airlie Off Beach Easter Regatta and the Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre, the club is situated right on the point in Airlie Beach with stunning water views and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and also features the must-see Balinese Pavilion.
Protected by the Great Barrier Reef – with calm waters, safe anchorages and line-of-sight navigation – the Whitsunday islands are one of the most enjoyable sailing grounds in the world. The mission of the club is to encourage the involvement, enthusiasm and friendship that comes from sailing in this spectacular environment.
An active race program exists for off-beach and off-shore sailors and includes major regattas, competitive local fixtures and comprehensive training courses for adults and juniors.
Social facilities include a bar, bistro, pokies, keno, event catering, function and training rooms and a waterside pavilion suitable for many kinds of functions.
The Galley Bistro offers great value, seasonally designed menus and an all weather balcony to enjoy the waterside location. Lunch and dinner is served seven days a week, 363 days a year.
Our Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre offers a wide variety of safety and sailing courses ranging from boat licences to Master 5 certification.
